42ND ANNUAL HARVARD NATIONAL FORENSICS TOURNAMENT

42nd Annual Harvard National Forensics Tournament

This last February our institution participated in the "42nd Annual Harvard National Forensics Tournament" at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. This international event that brings together students from more than 53 countries is characterized by the development of skills for discussion in which 6 different modalities are practiced.
Students of the Americas Bicultural School participated in the category of "Public Forum Debate" with the theme "The Federal Government of the United States should adopt a carbon tax" (Emissions of greenhouse gases). After three days of intense work and effort, the 11 students who attended were victorious winning 8 rounds of discussions.
This event, attended by more than 3,200 students from around the world, is staged at Harvard University, where the student spirit and the beauty of its buildings full of history set the perfect stage for quality competition and professionalism, preparing our students in the field of public speaking and research.
Students who participated were Nicole Torres, Victoria Angelova, Nicole Henriquez, Gaelle Campora, José Carlos Cabrera, Alan Ceballos, Jorge Ruiz, Daniel Vieira, Avi Khoury, Manuel Lopez and Sebastian Barnichta.
