A privately administered, coeducational, bilingual, non-denominational institution founded in 1969, The Americas Bicultural School (ABC) is accredited by the National Private Schools Accreditation Alliance (NPSAA) in the United States, and the Ministry of Education in the Dominican Republic. It is a member of the International Schools Association (ISA), Canadian Education Association (CEA), and Overseas Association for College Admission Counseling (OACAC).
Its diplomas and credits are recognized internationally. The school offers instruction in English for Pre-School and both in English and Spanish for Elementary and High School. Mandarin is taught from Elementary to 12th grade and French from grade five through high school. The English programs consist of a United States type curriculum and the Spanish programs consist of the official curriculum of the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic.
The school offers an integrated learning process with the objective of achieving the moral and academic formation of its students, preparing them to evolve successfully in the competitive society that we live in, enabling them to embark in a world with new challenges.
Our graduates have received scholarships from various universities both in the Dominican Republic and abroad. After college the majority of them continue on to receive masters’ degrees and doctorates. Many are currently working at prestigious institutions in Europe, the United States, and the Dominican Republic.
We take pride in the fact that many of our alumni have chosen us for the education of their children. It is also worth mentioning that the great majority of the students we graduate every year were entrusted to us as early as pre-school.
